Valerie McKeehan. A sentimental, homebody, florist, writer, novice gardener, antiquarian, francophile, wife (my husband also happens to be my business partner), and mother of a lovely daughter named Vienna (a Billy Joel life Sensitive song). She paints and creates from her home studio in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. After getting married in 2012, she wanted to create art works. In order to make her home more cozy, she liked the nostalgic and comfortable appearance, so Lily & Val was born. Then she found out that other people wanted to hang her art in their homes, which made her feel incredibly happy and excited! She will personally illustrate each item and the client will always get something truly unique and loving. Growing up in rural Pennsylvania, Valerie had a deep-rooted love of flowers and nature. She often draws inspiration from happy memories of her childhood. Her belief that it is the little things in everyday life that matter most inspires much of her creative work. Lily is not named after a person, but as a tribute to her and her mother's shared love of flowers.
