Andres Agosin
Andres Agosin (Monk) was born in Viña del Mar, Chile and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He is a plastic artist, graphic designer and art director. He is also the founder of the publishing houses Göoo, 1:100 and Porco.<br /><br />
He is a member of a generation of artists who have taken their talents beyond traditional galleries, mixing street art, live interventions, as well as the customization of objects and toys.<br /><br />
Being part of the emerging street art movement in Argentina, his walls and works have landed in various galleries and publishers in Latin America, USA, Mexico and Europe. Influenced by various plastic expressions such as pop-surrealism (lowbrow), cubism and modern architecture, his works have a strong chromatic imprint, as well as a coexistence between the geometric and the organic, the defined and the stain, the result of his go and come between the canvas and the street art.<br /><br />
His work has been recognized by specialized critics and has been published in books and magazines in different countries such as Australia, Brazil, Chile, China, Spain and England.
